Where they work

One tank range, three very different days.

The sizing is the same exercise whether it is a five-person household or a 400-pupil school: how much water a day, and how long you want to hold it.

  • A farmer standing at the edge of a drip-irrigated vegetable field, with a Vee Tank on a raised slab behind him.

    Farms and irrigation

Storage that carries a shamba through a dry stretch, feeding drip lines and livestock troughs on gravity.

  • A family sitting outside their home holding glasses of water, with a Vee Tank standing beside the house.

    Homes and families

A tank on the compound means the taps keep running on the days the mains do not.

  • A head teacher standing outside a school, with a Vee Tank raised on a tower and pupils washing their hands at taps below it.

    Schools and institutions

Enough stored water for a full day of pupils, staff and handwashing, sized on daily demand rather than guesswork.

Three layers. Three jobs.
One strong tank.

Every Vee Tank wall is moulded in three layers rather than one, each doing a different job.

  • Premium outer layer

    Black, for UV protection

The face that takes the sun, the rain and the knocks of standing outdoors.

  • Middle layer

Grey, for added strength and opaqueness

Moulded between the other two in the same cycle, not bonded on afterwards. Keeping light out is what keeps algae from taking hold.

  • Inner layer

White virgin material, food grade and anti-algae

The only surface your water touches, and smooth enough to clean out easily.

How they are made

Blow moulded.

Most water tanks on this market are rotationally moulded. Vee Tanks are blow moulded — a newer way of making them here, and the reason the wall can be laid down as three layers in one piece.

  • One piece, no seams

The body is formed in a single operation, so there is no join to work loose.

  • Layers formed together

The three layers are laid down in the same shot rather than added one after another.

  • A smooth inside

The inner surface is shaped by air, so there is less for residue to hold on to.

Tank sizer

Find the right tank.

Size from the rain your roof catches, from the people or animals you supply, or straight from a capacity you already have in mind. Every figure is a planning estimate you can adjust.

Sets your rainfall and your delivery zone. Pick your town, or let your device find it.

100 m²

The area rain lands on, seen from above. A modest three-bedroom house is around 100 m².

Smooth and non-absorbent, so it sheds almost everything that lands on it.

Waiting on one thing

Choose where you are and we will size the tank.

Rainfall in Kenya runs from about 280 mm a year in Garissa to well over 1,500 mm in the western highlands, so the answer changes completely with where your roof stands.
